Location
Windlesham is a large village in the Surrey Heath district of Surrey. It is also the name of the parish that covers Bagshot and Lightwater. Once a part of Windsor Great Park, Windlesham has around it some of the UK’s wealthiest locations including Sunningdale and Wentworth with famous former residents including Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, guitarist Brian May and HM Queen Elizabeth II. Windlesham village itself contains one of the UK’s most expensive residential properties with a price tag of £75M, and within and around the village are some large companies including Crocus, Rainbow Play Systems and the Linde Group (formerly BOC). The village’s nearest main shopping centre is Camberley, some 6 or so miles away, with Guildford and Woking being some 11 miles and 8 miles respectively. The population is said to be near to 4500, within what is pretty much a country setting but with nearby main arterial routes being the M3 and A30 leading to the M25, and from there to Heathrow and Gatwick.
